Doggerland's Choice: Presidentials August 2021

4 million Doggers are called to choose a president tomorrow. Three candidates are participating in the race, although Apples Clarke (PRO) and Barge Lollocks (LBT) are expected to pass to a second round.

Apples Clarke/Melvin Bradley Jr. (Action Alliance)

Volt+Humanists' co-leader Apples Clarke has decided to join forces with CDP's co-leader Melvin Bradley Jr. in a common ticket to push for the expansion of powers of the presidency, although no details of which powers the president and vice president should hold have been exactly received.

This ticket is officially endorsed by the United Progressives (Labor Worker's Party and Volt+Humanists) and the Conservative Alliance (Civic Union and Christian Democratic Party).

Barge Lollocks/Aldert Hoekstra (Freedom Bloc)

Barge Lollocks will sure be the surprise of the night. After the horrible results of the last legislative elections (in which Barge admitted the Libertarians didn't do a great campaign), polls show he could grow significantly, mainly with voters disappointed with the Rally for Joris! coalition government that effectively ruined the possibility of a right-wing government due to the other potential coalition partners prioritizing stability.

Lollocks is expected to win at least in Noardlân, where him deciding to put Hoekstra (one of the most conservative members of Ús Noardlân) will help him. His ticket wants to not expand current presidential powers, as opposed to the Action Alliance plans.

This ticket is officially endorsed by the Freedom Bloc (Ús Noardlân and the Libertarian Party) and Fritz Williams, a promiment political analist.

Shawty Forbes/James Cronin (United Left People's Bloc)

After no candidate was deemed leftist enough for Doggerland leftists, Forbes (LFT) and Cronin (COM) decided to run independently to represent left-winger voters of Doggerland. They haven't detailed any plans yet about their candidature.

This ticket has been endorsed by the United Left People's Bloc (Communist Party and Doggerland Left) and by MNA Carlos "Looch" Lucania.
