The Independent Democracy Party or IDP (ECR, right-wing populist) has been revived, this time with a new leadership. Friedrich Dixie becomes the first IDP leader of Dutch origin, and intends to bring a new fresh voice to conservative Dogger policies.
De Krante had the chance to interview him just after being elected leader of the IDP in the refoundation process.

De Krante (K): Why did you revive the IDP?
Friedrich Dixie (FD): The reason me and my fellow members revived the party as we saw that the Christian Democratic Party (EPP, christian democracy) had begun to become weak. They seemed to have given up on social conservatism and more liberal neo-conservative versions of it.
K: What are your main policies?
FD: Our main policies include reviving blue-collar workers and jobs, breaking up of corrupt monopolies, family oriented polices that include what was done in Hungary like loans to families that can be forgiven after they have 3-4 children, trying to put our nation first in foreign olicies, and supporting devolution for the North.
K: Who do you see as preferred coalition partners?
FD: I see that we can work with many different parties from both the left and right, but I will say right now that I can't commit to anything as of yet.
K: What will be your main focus in the next campaign?
FD: Our main focus being the overturning of the SRB and Rest acts (including the current reviews) and the revival of blue collar jobs, as well as building a moderate green policy that will not destroy of economy.

K: Some Doggers still think that Beady will still have a big influence in the party, what message would you like to send to them?
FD: Mr. Beady is a man I will say that of him. Now I am Dutch and we know his opinions on them but I do wish to try and work with him as much as possible but I am not willing to bow down to him under any circumstances.
K: Will the IDP still focus on Catholic Doggish interests?
FD: I don't want to exclusively focus on them but don't think that means I don't care for them. I am a Dutch Calvinist so I am not the same as them but what I want the IDP to become is a party that fights for Doggers not just a single group in our nation but for all of us. Division makes us weak and easy to be defeated and conquered I want us united and strong so we can stand up for our nation.
K: Do you expect to recover your results?
FD: I hope that we may be able to recover and that we may do better in some places as well.
K: Anything you'd like to say to our readers?
FD: I would just like to say thank you for everything you do for our nation. We can revive our nation and maybe even be able to form a right wing government some day. Never give up hope because once you do then we have no chance left. I love you all and thank you.
K: Thank you very much for answering our questions.
